Privacy Policy

How we handle data on this website

Privacy and data-protection illustration
  1. Controller and scope

Seven RE UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Gerhart-Hauptmann-Straße 22, 67663 Kaiserslautern, Germany, is the controller responsible for this website under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can contact us at info@seven-re.com or +49 176 24325146.

This policy explains what personal data may be processed when you visit the website, submit a form, choose a site preference, allow Analytics, or play the embedded film.

    Last updated: 23 July 2026.

  2. Hosting and website delivery

The website is stored in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) in the EU (Frankfurt) Region and delivered through the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network. CloudFront may use a nearby global edge location to deliver the site efficiently.

When the site is requested, technical connection data such as the IP address, date and time, requested resource, response status, browser or device information, and referrer may be processed as required to transmit, secure, and troubleshoot the service. We do not use S3 or CloudFront access logs to profile visitors.

This processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is providing a secure, reliable, and efficient website. Amazon Web Services acts as our hosting and delivery service provider.

  3. Contact and newsletter-interest forms

The contact form collects your name, email address, optional telephone number, and project message. The newsletter-interest form collects your email address and privacy acknowledgement. The newsletter form records an expression of interest; it does not automatically enrol you in a mailing list.

Form data is sent directly from your browser to FormSubmit, which forwards the message to us. FormSubmit and the involved email providers may also process technical connection data needed to deliver and protect the submission.

We process enquiries to answer your request and take steps before entering into a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where applicable, and otherwise on the basis of our legitimate interest in business communication under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Newsletter-interest requests are based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may also contact us directly by email instead of using a form.

    FormSubmit privacy information

  4. Language and privacy preferences

The site stores your selected language in local browser storage under sevenre-locale-preference so it can retain your choice. If no choice exists, the site initially follows the preferred language reported by your browser.

Your Analytics decision is stored under sevenre-analytics-consent so the site can respect it on later visits. These preference records stay on your device and do not themselves create a cross-site profile.

This storage is necessary to provide settings you expressly request within the meaning of Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). Any associated personal-data processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our interest in remembering and respecting your choices.

  5. Google Analytics 4

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4, provided for users in the European Economic Area by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use it to understand aggregated website usage and improve content and performance.

The Analytics tag is not loaded and no Analytics request is made until you select “Allow analytics”. If you consent, Google Analytics may process page views, interactions, referrer information, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, and identifiers stored in first-party cookies such as _ga.

Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. For traffic from the EU, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, an IP address is used to derive coarse location information and is then discarded before the data is logged.

The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can change your choice at any time through “Analytics settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops the Analytics tag on subsequent page loads and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies. The withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it.

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. Information about recipients, international transfers, safeguards, retention, and your controls is available in Google’s privacy information. Event-level Analytics data is retained according to the period configured for our Google Analytics property and is deleted or aggregated when it is no longer required for the stated purpose.

  6. YouTube film

The Features page offers a film through a privacy-enhanced YouTube embed. The player is supplied by Google Ireland Limited and YouTube, LLC.

No YouTube iframe is loaded when the page first opens. Only after you press the play button does your browser connect to youtube-nocookie.com. Google and YouTube may then receive connection and device data, including your IP address, and may store or read identifiers depending on your settings and account status.

Loading the player is based on your deliberate activation and consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can avoid this processing by not starting the film.

    Google Privacy Policy

  7. Retention

We retain enquiries only for as long as needed to answer them, continue the relevant business communication, and meet applicable statutory record-keeping duties. Data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised unless a legal obligation requires continued storage.

Language and consent preferences remain in your browser until you change them, clear site data, or the browser removes them. Analytics data follows the retention criteria described above and the settings of the relevant service.

Where processing is based on consent, we retain the information needed to document that choice only for as long as required to demonstrate compliance and respect your current preference.

  8. Recipients and international transfers

Within our company, access is limited to people who need the data for the purposes described here. External recipients are limited to service providers involved in hosting, content delivery, form forwarding, email delivery, Analytics, or the film player, as applicable.

Some providers may process data outside Germany or the European Economic Area. Where required, such transfers are based on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Details are provided in the linked privacy information of each service provider.

We do not use website data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.

  9. Your data-protection rights

Subject to the legal conditions, you may exercise the following rights regarding your personal data:

    • Access under Article 15 GDPR
    • Rectification under Article 16 GDPR
    • Erasure under Article 17 GDPR
    • Restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR
    • Data portability under Article 20 GDPR
    • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests under Article 21 GDPR
    • Withdrawal of consent at any time under Article 7(3) GDPR

To exercise these rights, contact info@seven-re.com. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant data.

  10. Right to lodge a complaint

You may also contact the supervisory authority at your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of an alleged infringement.

  11. Security and policy changes

We use encrypted transport and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. Internet transmission can nevertheless never be guaranteed to be completely secure.
